After nearly 20 years at The Vines, Ahdy and Karen retired at the end of October 2021. The Vines is now in the capable hands of the new operators, Group Retreats, a company that manages both hotels and exclusive homes for group bookings. The Vines continues to play host to many village activities – the most important being the regular pub quizzes!
Ahdy and Karen bought The Vines in 2002. A highly regarded restaurant and bar, it soon became apparent that there was a demand for guest rooms in the area and The Vines opened its 18 rooms in 2006, 12 being in a separate wing, overlooking the lovely Black Bourton Church. Most rooms have king size beds and they also have twin and family rooms. All rooms have en suite showers, flat screen televisions, hospitality trays, irons and board, free Internet etc. making a stay at The Vines a time of pleasure.
A varied wine list will suite the enthusiast, enjoyed equally on their own as well as the perfect accompaniment to any of the delicious meals. Fresh from the pizza oven is a choice of delicious, classic Italian Pizzas.
