Fabulous weather ensured a terrific turn out for the village car boot sale. Nineteen cars pre-booked pitches along with two villagers who sold from their driveways. There was a fantastic range of items for sale and trade was steady all afternoon.
Particular thanks to Catherine Lane, Jenny Chaundy (Bampton Community Shop) and the BBVA for promoting and organising this event. We hope to make it even bigger and better next year.
A glorious autumnal afternoon saw our annual Apple Pressing event take place in the play park.
It was clear that the early frosts in April had greatly reduced many growers annual yield but this did not prevent us from producing a splendid amount of delicious tasting apple juice!
Once again there are plans afoot to develop this event next year with further activities and attractions.
