In our last PCC meeting on January 6th it was resolved to not open the church for services (communion and evensong) and to review that decision before the 7th March communion service. Tess, our vicar, emphasised that people’s spiritual health is crucial as well as how they plug into their spirituality, so we have decided the church will remain open on Sundays between 10:00am and 4:00pm for private prayer and contemplation.
This is a list of virtual services as an alternative to the real thing:
- Bampton Zoom services require subscription.
- The C of E site lists 4 livestream churches near us in Carterton, Littleworth, Curbridge and Buckland.
- The Diocese of Oxford site lists livestream, YouTube and local radio broadcasts.
- The Diocese of Oxford is also doing some excellent services on Sunday mornings at 10am. It is called ‘Church At Home’.
In addition Tess will be running virtual weekly Bible studies at 9:15 am until 10:00 am on Wednesdays using Zoom. All are welcome.
