We have felt the weight of responsibility. The event was due to be held six days before the 25th, and the church is usually full of all ages. We might have been accused of organising a super-spreader evening! It is also possible that many might not have attended due to the same fears.
This is the second year we have had to cancel an indoor event. Last year we had more time to organise the ‘special crib service 2020-style‘ outside, so this year is the first time Santa will not be appearing at the church. Roll on Christmas 2022 and hope for a better outcome.
