Earlier this year St Mary’s Black Bourton was awarded £5,000 by the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust (OHCT) towards installing a new electrical supply and electrical heating and a further £20,000 towards the loo and kitchen project!
Our church is warm and will soon be the community hub that the village has been lacking in the past!
The money grated from the OHCT came from the national ‘Ride and Stride’ event last September and this year you are invited to take part again.
Join in with a cycle, walk or even a horse ride around the churches of Oxfordshire and help to preserve the history on your doorstep.
Posters on the village notice board and in the church porch provide information on the full details including sponsorship forms and a list of churches to visit.
Sponsorship forms can also be obtained from Nikki Holmes at 2, Model Cottages, Bampton Road.
Ride and Stride takes place on: Saturday 9th September 10:00am until 6:00pm.
All funds raised go to OHCT and 50% can be passed on to a church or chapel of your choice.
