Good news our new cameras have now arrived and have been installed, with some fantastic feedback from some villages saying how they are working well and that the traffic is paying attention and slowing down.
We are still hoping to install 2 new post so we can move the cameras around to capture the traffic issues from around the whole village.
We have been putting problems with the footpaths around Black Bourton on OCC countryside access website so if you come across any problems please do let us know so we can hopefully keep on top of our footpaths and keep on walking.
Now the weather has improved we are hoping to get the fence over the bridge sanded and painted, and we will then add some roundels on to keep notifying people of the speed limit.
There will be some new seeded areas in front of our white gates when it is ready to be sowed, thanks to the BBVA for the seeds.
We are still moving forward with grant applications to improve our playpark, we have many ideas in play but there will be a village gathering/community working party to come together to help clean, clear and paint. So if you are available on the 24th/25th July please contact myself or phone Terry Pope to be included, and lets make a difference.
And don’t forget the Village Fete on September 5th keep an eye on the website for updates.
Please do fill out the survey for the Church improvement plans, all of the work that has gone into the background is for the benefit of the villagers.
The council will be on a break for August but our meeting in September will be on the 1st at 7.00pm in Alvescot Village Hall so please do come down to join us and have your say, or voice any questions.
