Now that summer is here, we are happy to say the bowser has been put to good use watering the
trees around the village. The trees need all the help they can get. It would be very helpful If anyone would like to become a community tree guardian, of all ages, and monitor any trees near you with a view to either watering them yourselves or informing the PC that they need watering. That would help ensure the survival of the trees during dry periods. The council will be putting together a water schedule and you could help the community trees get through this tough time.
We would like to thank WODC for clearing the footpath behind Church Close and they are looking into dealing with the remaining trip hazards. If you enjoy walking around the footpaths of the Village the council are looking for 2 footpath officers to monitor and report on the conditions of the footpaths so any issues can be reported. If you are interested please contact the Parish Clerk.
The council are also requesting a working party for people who would like to help with the
renovation of some of the older play park equipment. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you have the skills or time to help.
The Parish council as always would like for you to pop along to our next meeting on the 5th July at St Mary’s Church at 7.00pm.
We always welcome your views and if you have any concerns or suggestions do let us know.
