The Council would like to thank everyone who has been able to help with the clean up of the War Memorial with suppling the water, and their time to clean the base. The memorial itself has now been professional cleaned and the lettering retouched, and it is looking fantastic we were so grateful to M J Sly in being able to complete the work before our remembrance service on the 13th November.
We are just waiting for the quotes to come in for repairing the dry stone walling on the base.
The Council needs your views on the proposed “20 is plenty” speed limit, as we would like to propose that Bampton road and Burford Road in Black Bourton have a reduced speed to 20mph. We have added a simple poll at the foot of this page giving you the chance to say whether you would like the change. We’re also interested in your reasons either way so do please use the contact form to add your comments and your reason behind the choice.
