A big thank you to all those who completed the survey. We got 72 responses, which represents 63% of all households in the village! Those not receiving the email newsletter have been contacted door-to-door.
There are a number of standout highlights. It’s clear that we already have a significant majority for putting St Mary’s to good use for the whole village.
The survey asks four questions:
1 What type of activity would interest you to join or run?
2 What type of class would you pay for?
3 What type of activity would you pay for?
4 Do you have skills you can offer (gratis or at cost)?
The top three activities came from each of the three categories.
But perhaps the most exciting result was the number prepared to volunteer either with specific skills for the project or to help in general – of all respondents so far 72% have offered to help!
Take a look at the Survey Results To Date 27082021 for a more detailed breakdown and if you’d like a reminder about what we’re exploring take a look at the leaflet ‘Adapting St Mary’s church for wider use’.
This is a long process and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way. The next step is to prepare a ‘Statement of Need’ and ‘Statement of Significance’, which will act as a brief for the architect.
