The oil group has just completed its 15th year and now has 93 members.
We have received nine deliveries in 2025 totalling 174k litres at an approx average cost of 52.45 pence per litre (+5% vat for the exchequer), with a high of 60.00ppl in January and a low of 46.85ppl in May 25
Deliveries were noticeably lower during the tropical spring and summer.
Our most regular suppliers continue to be Compass Energy, Red Horse Vale and Sweetfuels (now named Northern Fuels Ltd). Our closest supplier Watson Fuels of Brize Norton have declined our invitations to quote for our business!
It is quite clear that there is no point in trying to anticipate prices in advance, with the political influences of both Putin and Trump.
A huge thank you to all members who contributed over £600 to the St. Mary`s Church Fabric Fund last January, in recognition of this voluntary group buying service. Another plea will be coming your way in a week or two.
