BBVA News July/August

A busy second half of the year is almost upon us.

Following the amazing success of the Black Bourton Village Fete in 2021, we are delighted to announce that the 2022 event will be taking place on Sunday the 4th Sep from 2-5pm.

The 2021 event was attended by over 400 local people from Black Bourton, surrounding villages and beyond! With fantastic weather, it was an event that brought people of all ages from across our communities together for a day of fun and celebration. For this year’s event we have some amazing attractions already planned but would welcome any help with the following :

  • Raffle Prizes for this popular part of the event
  • Donations for the Cake Stall, Plant Stall and drinks (alcohol and soft drinks) for the Bottle Stall
  • We always welcome volunteers to help on the day also

If you can donate a prize or item, or are willing to help on the day, please email us on bbvacommittee@gmail.com. Look forward to seeing you all there!

As you will know from the Calendar of Events 2022, there is also coming up:

  •  Live@BB featuring the very popular “The Revolvers” on Thursday 22nd September in St. Mary`s Church (get your tickets on Fete Day to avoid disappointment as it will be a sell out).
  • The Apple Pressing / Car Boot Day on Sunday 2nd October, which will now include the ‘village drinks’ event that was cancelled on the 26th June.

Many households in the village comment  “I didn’t know about the event” and have lost their Events Calendar. You can find the calendar on the website – Calendar of Events 2022 –  or let a committee member know and we will send you one. Likewise, if you do not receive emails from the BBVA, it is likely that we don’t have your address, or that you’ve changed it, so please let us know.

Later in the year look out for :-

  • the Spooky Film night on Friday 28th October at Mill Farm, to coincide with Halloween
  • the Autumn BBVA Quiz/Supper at The Vines on Friday 18th November
  • the Christmas Carols and Santa’s Grotto in St Mary’s on Sunday 18th December.
