BBVA News January/February

On Monday, 22nd January, we held our Annual General Meeting, which was well attended by over 40 people who also enjoyed bubbles and snacks.  Apart from the business of the night, it was a chance for everyone to witness the unveiling of the new kitchen and loo at St Mary’s.  This project forms the basis for the new Hub and is the result of a lot of hard work, planning and fund-raising by the Church and the BBVA, working together for the good of the village.  We look forward to seeing it put to good use and are keen to hear your ideas on how we can best support you in providing clubs and activities.   Lawrence Clarke has joined the committee to represent the PCC. We also gained 3 new members on the night, Becca and Dave Harding and Will Cheese.  We are delighted to have them all on board and look forward to working with them.

Calendar of Events for 2024

We have 11 events planned for this year, some making a popular return, such as the Quiz Nights, Live at BB, Apple Pressing and Village Drinks and not forgetting the Summer Fete on 1st September.  This year we also have some brand new events, including a trip to Cheltenham Races in May, D-Day celebrations in June and a fun day out with steam engines in July for the children.

Our 2024 Events Calendar has been delivered around the village.  If you haven’t had yours yet, please speak to a member of the committee or e-mail us on bbvacommittee@gmail.com

Our next event is our Quiz Night at The Vines on Friday, 16th February at 7 p.m.  This promises to be another great night and we hope to see you there.
