September and October are busy months. Our next event is of course the Annual Village Fete on Sunday 4th September from 2.00 till 5.00pm. The Witney Brass Band and Eden Bay will provide the music and the Bampton Morris Men will strut their stuff. The ever popular dog show, the bouncy castle and children’s games, the animal show and the danger areas of the Bar with Pimms and Wood Bros distillers!! Many other attractions including, the car show, bottle stall, traditional teas and cakes, vintage corner, birds of prey, tug of war et al.
Your committee is asking for donations of your time AND goods. We need helpers on several stalls and donations of cakes, bottles, services, raffle prizes, plants, flowers etc will be welcomed. Our famous Raffle will be full of top class and interesting prizes.
The Fete Raffle tickets are now available for those who are keen not to miss the chance. Apply to your usual BBVA committee member.
Live@BB is next on Thursday 22nd Sept. Featuring THE REVOLVERS the famous Beatles tribute band. Beware, this will be a sell out. The church will be full, don’t be disappointed. Buy your tickets now @£10.00 or £12.00 on the door (but there won’t be any left for the door) !! Buy from your usual source asap or at the village Fete.
Your BBVA has a dilemma concerning the Apple Pressing/ Car Boot/ village drinks on October 2nd. It is that all the apples may have fallen off the trees by that date. Please “watch this space” for further info / rearrangements.
The BBVA is looking at the programme for next year and we need inputs from villagers. Please get in touch with your ideas and likes or dislikes.
