‘Out of the Blue’ concert
The Out of the Blue concert at St Mary’s was a real delight. This talented group of twelve Oxford University students entertained us with a great choice of songs to lift the mood. Their performance displayed their excellent musical abilities with great harmonies, lively choreography and a great sense of humour. They thoroughly deserved the standing ovation at the end. If you missed them this time, keep a look out as we certainly want to welcome them here again.
Out of the Blue are not only talented singers but they also care for others as the money they earn is donated to Helen & Douglas House, helping to provide support for terminally ill children and their families. Over £2,000 was raised split between the a cappella choir’s charity and the village. Do take a look at a collection of pics that really capture the atmosphere!
The orchard is coming along very well. Huge thanks to Terry and his team. We look forward to enjoying the fruits of your labours for many years to come.

COMING UP
Friday, 3rd May will see a group heading out from the village to enjoy an afternoon at Cheltenham Races and an evening of entertainment. More about that in the next newsletter.
D-DAY CELEBRATIONS ON 6th JUNE
Plans are underway for our D-Day celebrations in the village. There will be a beacon erected on the play park, to be lit during the evening and fish and chips will be provided. More information about this will be sent out to villagers in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, keep the date free as it promises to be an enjoyable evening.
